Brian Shillinglaw oversees New Forests’ forestry and environmental market investment programs in the United States. With 13 years of experience in real asset and environmental market investment management, Brian has led over 75,000 hectares of sustainable forestry investments and over 200,000 hectares of forest carbon investments. Brian has worked extensively with Native American governments on carbon-financed forest conservation, and the investment programs he leads have delivered over 12 million metric tonnes of verified carbon emission reductions. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from Harvard University, a JD from Stanford Law School, and a Master of Science from the Interdisciplinary Program on Environment and Resources at Stanford University.
