James Bullen leads the operations team for New Forests’ investments in the United States, with oversight of timberland and carbon operations. James works closely with third-party forest resource managers and investment vehicle boards, bringing an emphasis on operational efficiency, technical rigour, and value creation to his oversight of New Forests’ investments in the region. James has more than 20 years’ forest management and investment experience, across all aspects of the management of large, FSC-accredited forestry projects, including establishment, silviculture, harvesting, forest engineering, sustainability, and marketing. James joined New Forests in 2008 and previously managed operations for the company’s investments and funds in Australia-New Zealand and Southeast Asia. His diverse experience includes forestry operations and management roles in Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Australia, New Zealand, the Solomon Islands, the United Kingdom, and the US. James has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
