Megan Struthers is part of the Business Development team and plays an integral role in implementing the team’s international mandate to research, evaluate, and execute on investment strategies to grow the New Forests business globally. She is responsible for the identification of potential investment opportunities, developing new strategies, undertaking due diligence, and executing on opportunities with a focus on New Forests’ ambition to scale investment in natural climate solutions. Megan previously spent 10 years in New Forests’ Investment Analytics team where she most recently led the company’s global portfolio modelling. Megan has 20 years of experience in forestry investment analysis, portfolio management, forest management, and research. Prior to joining New Forests in 2008 she held forestry portfolio management and client services roles in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. She has also held operations forester roles in the US with both an integrated forest products company and timberland investment management organisations. Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management and Resource Conservation from the University of Washington and a Masters of Forest Science from Yale University. Megan is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
