MaryKate Bullen leads New Forests’ sustainability and corporate communications programs, bringing more than a decade’s experience in sustainable forestry and land use issues to her passion for contributing to environmental and social solutions through responsible forestry investment. She has oversight for the company’s corporate sustainability, responsible investment, and impact initiatives, and represents New Forests in key external engagements and investment groups. MaryKate also leads corporate communications and media relations across New Forests globally. MaryKate joined New Forests in 2008, originally in the company’s advisory services team and also previously developed and managed New Forests’ corporate research program, producing policy analyses and market outlooks on key features of the timberland and environmental markets asset classes. MaryKate has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropological Sciences (Honors) with a specialisation in Population and Environment and a Master of the Arts in Latin American Studies from Stanford University.
Rafal Chudy is part of the Investor Services team where he is responsible for ensuring that strong research and evidence-based insights underpin New Forests’ investment programs. In this role, Rafał undertakes economic research and analysis related to forest product markets, provides advice on economic policy issues affecting New Forests’ investment programs, and supports New Forests Timber Products, providing relevant market information and insights to inform timber products marketing. Rafal has over 10 years of experience in forestry and forest industry businesses worldwide. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at the international forest and natural resource economics conferences. He has a Master of Science (Forestry) degree from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Master of Science (Forestry and Environmental Resources) from North Carolina State University, Master of Science (Forest Management) from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and a PhD in Forest Economics (specialising in Forest Sector Modelling) from Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Rafal also has a post graduate diploma in Financial Controlling in Capital Markets Groups from Warsaw School of Economics.
Sarah Clawson leads New Forests’ investor relations team and oversees the company’s capital raising and client relations. This includes providing strategic direction and coordination for funds marketing and client services functions across New Forests’ investment strategies. Sarah is responsible for driving a best practice approach within New Forests’ investor relations team and ensuring coordination of marketing campaigns, determining strategies to expand New Forests’ client base, and applying a consistent approach to managing client services across the business. Sarah has over 15 years of experience in marketing, client relations, and communications in the sustainable and responsible investment sector worldwide. In her previous roles she managed marketing and membership recruitment for international sustainable investment groups in the EU and Australasia, as well as developed educational responsible investment programs designed for international institutional investors. Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in French and English literature from Colgate University and is a Fulbright scholarship recipient.
Gina is a part of the Investor Services team in Sydney and supports marketing and business development, client services, coordination, management, and distribution of quarterly reporting, as well as management of annual investor meetings. Gina is an experienced institutional investor services professional with more than seven years of experience working at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in both Korea and Australia. During her time with J.P. Morgan Korea, Gina was the dedicated client service manager for a real estate separate account totalling over USD 1.3 billion and managed the client servicing for 17 fund of fund managers. Gina has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yonsei University in Seoul as well as a Masters of Korean and English Interpretation and Translation from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, Korea.
Radha Kuppalli leads New Forests’ Investor Services business unit. Her oversight includes product development and communication of New Forests’ investment strategies in the institutional investment market; integration of responsible investment and ESG innovations into investment strategy; client relations and funds marketing; brand stewardship and thought leadership to place New Forests as a leading investment manager in the forestry sector; and institutional investment and forestry markets research. She is a member of the company’s Executive Committee and is a member of various Investment Committees. Radha has been with New Forests since 2006. Her 20-year career has been focused on driving capital markets toward investing in climate change solutions and sustainable development. Radha has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economic Theory from American University in Washington, D.C., and an MBA and master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale University’s School of Management and School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She is on the Advisory Board of the Center for Business and Environment at Yale University and is an associate of the Yale World Fellows Program. She is also an alumna of the Junior Fellows Program of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Joanna Tan is part of New Forests’ investor services team. She is responsible for investor relations for Asian fund products and fundraising amongst Asian investors. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for engaging with current and prospective clients for New Forests’ funds in Asia. She will also support the entire client relationship management process, including due diligence and client servicing. Joanna’s experience includes working with a variety of asset managers and accumulating significant institutional business development and client servicing experience for a predominantly Asian institutional asset owner client base since 2006. She was also involved in product development initiatives in some of her previous capacities and supports product development at New Forests. Joanna has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Mikela is a member of New Forests’ Investor Services team and is based in the San Francisco office. She supports New Forests’ corporate sustainability programs, including managing the administration of the company’s Sustainability Working Group and supporting the ongoing corporate activities of the New Forests Social and Environmental Management System (SEMS). She also uses her research and data management background to support continual improvement in New Forests’ impact management activities and SEMS implementation. Mikela also assists with the strategic planning of the corporate communications program and sustainability reporting. Mikela has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
